Lane Kiffin trolls Tennessee (again)

It's not a Mississippi team, but you gotta love/hate Lane Kiffin.

Can't wait to see what ole Butch or some rando Tennessee player responds to this one.

Southern Miss takes on No. 20 Rice at The Pete

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles (27-11) have a huge series at The Pete this weekend against No. 20 Rice (24-11, who names a school after food?).  If you weren't aware, the two are currently tied for first place in the Conference USA standings.  With the best pitching in the league coming from the Owls, and the best hitting team in the league being the Golden Eagles, this is billed up to be a heavyweight fight that pits strength on strength.  Something will have to give.  Southern Miss also just lost to Tulane 12-0 on Tuesday, so let's hope they shake that one off and keep competing.

Ole Miss Diamond Rebs vs. Auburn

It's Double Decker Weekend in Oxford, and the No. 14 Ole Miss (28-10) baseball team is set to take on Auburn (18-19) this weekend at Swayze in another important SEC series.  You've gotta think that every game is vital to the Rebels hopes of potentially hosting.  Coming off of a midweek win over Murray State where the Rebs put up 8 runs, let's all hope that the bats are rolling this weekend.  Auburn is on a three game winning streak with a win over Alabama State 11-2 in their midweek matchup.

My man Brady Bramlett (@bradyb2821) will be on the bump, and he always gives Ole Miss a chance to win.  If you're not for big crowds and such, you can catch the game on SEC Network Plus or listen in with David and Keith on the Ole Miss Radio Network.  There will be Friday Night Fireworks after the game, so hopefully they're in celebration of a dub.  For fun, let's take a quick look at last time Auburn visited Swayze.

A New Regime

Well not really.  Still the same guy, some new material, but all the same bias (Yeah, I'm lookin' at you Bulldog fans).  But really though, time permitting I'm going to try and do a little amateur sports coverage for not only The Flagship University of Mississippi, ha, sorry I couldn't help it, but all of the great major sports, things related to sports, or anything I get the urge to write about that we have going on here in Mississippi.  By no means am I a professional writer, journalist, reporter, the whole nine yards, so bear with me.  I design stuff, I write stuff, you look at it, you read it, you like it, you don't, whatever.  But I will do my best between getting and performing my teaching job, coaching, and family time to put out the best page I can.  This by no stretch of the word is a priority for me, just a hobby that I found I enjoy and can be pretty good at, so I figured why not share it and bring y'all along for the ride?  Oh, and possibly The 'Sip t-shirts to come? I don't know, it would be cool I guess if people would actually buy/wear them.  Y'all let me know.

CONCEPT ~ The Landsharks New Feeding Ground

Ole Miss announced in the fall a move back to natural grass over in the Vaught, so how 'bout a little concept?  I can see Swag Heisman posing while Nick is slamming his headset and steam is fuming from his ears right now.
